Why Worry?

Why Worry?

So much to choose to worry about.

The finances. The relationships. The job. The kids. But where has worry improved, or changed for the better, anyone’s situation?

Worry only clouds the mind and actually limits the available options to a given situation.

Are you aware that the thoughts of worry in your mind gives your brain instructions that align your emotions with that thought? As if the worrisome outcome has already occurred? You choose to live in the pain before the experience has even happened!

And here's another fun fact: What you think about most often influences your behavior to bring about what is occupying your mind. So if you do not wish to experience what you fear, replace your thoughts with what you WANT to experience. Choose to not dwell on what you DON'T want.

The Bible says:

“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

—Matt. 6:34.

Also...

"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he."

–Prov. 23:7

In many cases, what is dwelled on has more influence on eventual outcomes than any external factors.

Trust that God has already made straight whatever is crooked in your life. Let's keep our minds clear of worry thoughts so we can actually hear God speak and see clearly the real, tangible options that will lead us to what we actually want.
